Our corporate management team has an opportunity available for a Vice President of Purchasing & Materials Management in Columbus, Ohio.
Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the VP of Purchasing & Material Management is responsible for the execution of corporate objectives through the use of sourcing strategies, supplier measurement and management programs and continuous improvement activities.
Additional responsibilities include: define Purchasing & Materials Management strategies and group goals, manage the sourcing, the negotiation and the implementation of new vendor contracts; direct the contract and price negotiation of the vendor base; develop and manage inventory forecasting within the supply chain; direct vendor compliance; oversee all activities related to procurement of a product, from purchase order execution through delivery of the product; oversee rebate/chargeback/billback program including tracking and collection; lead the interface with Information Services to prioritize enhancement requests, to validate and to approve system changes; develop key measurements and matrices of performance, trends and forecasting for corporate reports; and serve as liaison among other corporate departments to enhance communication and to develop best practices.

Requirements
Qualified candidates should have at least ten (10) years of directly related and progressively responsible experience, including at least five (5) years at a management level. A bachelor’s degree is a must. Previous experience in the Food Service industry or Wholesale Distribution is a plus.

Multi billion dollar nationally prominent retail organization with significant e commerce sales seeks senior level executive to report to the EVP of supply chain and direct a staff of VPs, Directors and over 2000 associates in four large distribution centers. Will be responsible for ensuring efficient distribution service to support retail stores as well as world class fulfillment function to meet the demands of e sales [over 1 million] and expanding. Will be the chief architect for strategic planning, implementing WMS and state of the art distribution technology. Will manage cost efficient distribution services and new logistic technology to meet corporate goals.

Requirements
Bachelor Degree, Logistics or Engineering, MBA preferred. The successful candidate will have 20 years experience with a minimum of 10 years in senior executive capacity [VP level] in logistics or distribution with a large retail organization or related. Must include distribution support of retail outlets as well as fulfillment direct to consumer in ecommerce. Prior P & L experience a must, ability recruit, lead and develop a competent management staff to meet the future needs of the Company. Must have excellent written and communication skills and be able to succeed in a fast paced high volume environment.
